In Silico Design Of B-Cell Epitope Based Peptide Vaccine For Epstein-Barr Virus
Abstract
Background: Nasopharyngeal cancer (Nasopharyngeal carcinoma/NPC), is a malignant tumor originating from the nasopharyngeal mucosal epithelium with varying degrees of cell differentiation. Most commonly found in Asia and strongly associated with Epstein Barr virus (EBV) infection. Purpose: The purpose of writing this journal is to review the Epstein Barr virus (EBV) in nasopharyngeal cancer (Nasopharyngeal carcinoma/NPC). Conclusion: Epstein-Barr virus was investigated by means of immunohistochemical examination and in situ hybridization which has been studied in ten cases of nasopharyngeal cancer, nine of which found EBV.. After obtaining the epitope candidates, these proteins can be developed into vaccines through certain delivery systems such as lipid nanoparticles. Based on the steps that have been passed and the results obtained, it can be concluded that the epitope candidates that have been obtained can be used for vaccine use.
