ISOLASI BAKTERI PATOGEN PENYEBAB PENYAKIT MOKO PADA DAGING BUAH PISANG CAVENDISH (Musa acuminata Colla) MUDA DI PT GREAT GIANT PINEAPPLE

Abstract


Cavendish banana (Musa acuminata Colla) is a fruit plant that is widely cultivated in Lampung. One of the companies in Lampung that produces Cavendish bananas is PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP). In the process of cultivating Cavendish Bananas there are obstacles or obstacles, namely Cavendish banana plants are attacked by several diseases or plant pathogens that can reduce the quality of these bananas. One of the plant diseases that is the main obstacle in banana cultivation is moko disease on the flesh of the fruit. Cavendish banana plants are attacked by Moko disease caused by the bacterium Ralstonia solanacearum. One effort that can be made to control pathogenic bacteria that infect cavendish banana plants is to isolate pathogenic bacteria from the flesh of young cavendish bananas (Musa acuminata Colla) using a special medium called Tripheny Tetrazolium Chloride (TZC). The results of isolation of pathogenic bacteria in the flesh of cavendish bananas were characterized macroscopically to determine the type of pathogenic bacteria. The results of the morphological characterization had single colonies, round, irregular, convex, flat-brimmed, dark red in color. the center of the colony, while the edges are cloudy white and less than 1µm in diameter during the 24 - 48 hour incubation period.
